There are photos all over social media of Taylor Swift with white circles of powder under her eyes – and what looks like heavy foundation, from an appearance in New York City last night.

Today beauty experts are explaining that a camera’s powerful flash has the tendency to turn makeup white when the powder contains certain ingredients, including mica and silica – but only under the brightest flashes.

Perhaps the celeb needs a little advice? Brands might want to come up with a remedy – and use the beauty blunder as an opportunity to contact Swift’s makeup artist, and send the pop star some new products?
